Wedding Band North East

The Dean Solomon Band specialises in providing the evening entertainment for weddings in the North East,  Co Durham, North Yorkshire, Tyne and Wear and Teesside, Harrogate Scarborough and York.

Because of the wide age range of guests at most weddings, you need a live band who can perform an equally wide range of material. The Dean Solomon Band does just that, moving seamlessly through music to entertain 3 or 4 generations, ensuring no one is left out.

We normally aim to perform live for up to 3 x 45 minute sets between approximately 8.00pm and midnight and provide our free disco music for before the band starts and during the intervals.

Your Wedding

A suggested timetable for the evening:

Your wedding breakfast will usually finish around 6.30 pm; at this point, the venue staff will want to prepare the function room for your evening event.

•  6.45pm  Set-up time for band (this usually takes no more than 30 mins)
•  7.15pm  Evening guests arrive, background music playing on our disco
•  8.15pm  First dance and Dean Solomon Band 1st Set
•  9.00pm  Buffet served, light pop music on our disco
•  9.45pm  Dean Solomon Band 2nd Set
• 10.30pm Our Disco
• 11.00pm Dean Solomon Band 3rd Set
• 11.45pm Our Disco till Midnight

Needless to say, these timings are completely flexible and can be altered to accommodate your requirements (either in advance or on the night), thereby ensuring your evening runs smoothly, with continuous music from 7.15pm to midnight, without the need to hire a separate DJ.
If you wish your evening to run beyond midnight, we recommend a "live" DJ and we can arrange one for you at a small extra cost.

• We will be happy to play your special favourite for your first dance together, and if we don't already know it, we'll learn it to perform, or we'll organise a recorded version.
